The Friends of the Keller Library is a registered non-profit organization with
more than one hundred and fifty individual and group members. Our mission is to
support the Keller Public Library in its effort to provide access to
information for life-long learning. The Friends organization is independent of
the City of Keller.
The Friends meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 6:30PM at local
restaurants or at the Bookstore. Because of limited space at the Library,
the Friends have moved their used books for sale to the Taylor Street location.
Hours of operation are 10AM to 2PM on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Click on the
Fundraising link for more information about the bookstore.
The Friends are more than just library supporters. The group supports the
community by participating in Keller Trash-off, Wild Wild West Fest and other
City of Keller events. They also volunteer in other organizations in the
community like the Greater Keller Women's Club and the Keller Chamber of
Commerce.
The Friends also raise money year-round, through fund raising events,
membership dues and donations. This money is used to provide items that the
library staff has placed on a "wish list". These items are then purchased for
the library.
The Friends of the Keller Library have more than just business on their
mind! Each year the group has a party during the winter holidays, as well as
during National Library Week. These parties celebrate the successes of the
library and the community.
