Amber Sullivan Named 2207-2008 Volunteer of the Year

Amber Sullivan, a Keller High School student, was named the Keller Friends of the Library Volunteer of the Year for 2007-2008 at the organization.s April meeting. The group recognized Amber for the numerous hours volunteered each month in working at the Friends Bookstore - more than any other volunteer or Friend of the Library member. Amber's connscientious and excellent work helps our organization provide strong support for the Keller Public Library.

Friends of the Library Bookstore Gets New Look

The exterior of the Friends of the Library Bookstore at 137 Taylor Street has a new look. Numerous repairs were made to the outside of the building, new shutters were added, and the color changed for a much fresher look to welcome visitors to the building. This exterior work complements the many improvements begun last summer when more than twenty new bookshelves were installed so that the book inventory is much more accessible to customers.


Special Extended-Day Book Sale Planned

The Friends of the Library Bookstore will conduct a special book sale on June 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to increase awareness of the bookstore and its service to the Keller Public Library and the community.

Donations

In order to help make the sale successful, we need you tax-deductible book donations. You may take your donations to the Keller Library during normal opening hours or the Friends Bookstore on Wednesday or Saturday between 10am and 2pm. Or, call us at 817 741 8590 or 817 431 9201 and we will pick your books up.
